The Queen hailed through her social media account the vital work carried out by the Countess of Wessex in the run-up to Valentine’s Day. The Royal Family Twitter account, which represents the sovereign online as well as all senior royals who don’t have their own social media accounts, shared a heart-melting video filmed during a visit by Sophie to the Shooting Star House’s hospice in Hampton.
In the clip, the Countess can be seen speaking to children and their carers, taking part in arts and crafts activities and joining a makaton sing-along.
Makaton is a language combining signs, speech and symbols to allow people to communicate.
In the clip, Sophie looked happy as she sang along the Beatles’ All You Need Is Love while surrounded by children, parents and carers.
