‘America’s Got Talent’ stuntman shares goofy selfie after gruesome accident

The daredevil who was crushed by two cars in a caught-on-camera stunt for “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” shared a lighthearted-yet-bloody selfie from his hospital – sticking his tongue out in mock astonishment.

“You can’t say you don’t get out what you put in,” Jonathan Goodwin, 41, wrote early Wednesday on Instagram, where he is seen lying in bed waving to the camera with a heavily bandaged hand and cuts all over his face.

“Ive tried my hardest over the years to be kind, thoughtful, honest supportive and good,” the Welsh stuntman continued. “A couple of days ago my life took a complete turn … and the out pouring of love from all the corners of the world; from people I didn’t even think would know or remember me … has been astonishing.”

Goodwin also gave a shoutout to his fiancée, Amanda.

“I have been to the very brink and dodged the worst that a human being can, without fear … because I was protected by love,” he wrote. “Love is all you need, so make sure you get some, cos its good s—.”

He added: “To death I say nananana boo boo … There is a long road to recovery and that won’t look like what it did … I may leave the daft s— alone for a while, but I have a lot left to do in this world.”

Sickening footage obtained by TMZ, shows Goodwin get sandwiched between the vehicles, which are suspended 70 feet in the air, instead of narrowly dropping between them and onto an air mattress below. The cars erupted into a fireball on impact.

For the stunt, he was supposed to free himself from a straitjacket while dangling from his feet between the two swinging cars, the gossip site reported. But instead of going out without a hitch, Goodwin fell to the ground.

He was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery.

NBC has suspended “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” after the accident.
