Gabon made an ideal start to their Africa Cup of Nations campaign, following their 1-0 victory over Comoros on Monday.

Aaron Boupendza’s first-half strike was the difference between the two sides, as Gabon strode to victory without Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Comoros, who are 132nd in the FIFA world rankings, will be disappointed with the result after a valiant performance.
