Five-year-old Lassie was rescued along with 44 other dogs from a dilapidated farm last February. Since then, she has been at the RSPCA’s Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre in Conwy, Wales.
Lassie has now been waiting for more than 300 days for new owners to come along, Wales Online reports.
She lived in a barn before she was rescued and is building up her confidence interacting with people.
The RSPCA said: “Lassie was born and bred in a barn, having had no experience of human love Lassie is looking for a patient family who can offer her a quiet home to help her settle in.
“Since arriving with us she has grown in confidence, walking well on a harness and meeting unfamiliar people.”
“Thankfully, the owner worked with us and we were able to get these dogs out of this setting and into a number of different animal centres.
“We’re so proud we were able to rescue these dogs.
“Some pups have already found new homes – but many of the dogs face a period of rehabilitation and care to get them ready for rehoming.”
