However, royal fans were quick to notice a minute detail about one of the dresses, as many women across the net couldn’t stop praising it. In one of the three photographs, Kate wears a red one-shoulder Alexander McQueen gown and showing off a pair of the Queen’s diamond pendant earrings.
Many fans observed similarities between that particular portrait of the Duchess of Cambridge and a photograph taken of the Queen in 2019, which showed the monarch posing in a similar fashion.
Twitter users were stunned by the fact that both dresses had pockets, a feature not commonly seen, causing royal watchers to go gaga over the dress.
One of the users, Robert Moore, wrote: “Definitely the face of a woman who is happy her dress has pockets!
“Face with tears of joy… She really is beautiful though!”
Another Twitter user, @Mysavvylife, said: “This is the ultimate ‘my dress has pockets’ smile, and every woman in the world gets that.”
Another user, Stephanie Borsworth, wrote: “Stunning pictures but all I thought when I saw the red dress was ‘WOW, IT HAS POCKETS’.”
The photographs were released by Kensington Palace on Sunday as the Duchess of Cambridge celebrated her 40th birthday.
Photographs clicked by Paolo Roversi at Kew Gardens show Kate in three different dresses-two white and the one in red.
