The latest polls give the French President a ten-point lead over his rival ahead of Sunday’s second round.

Ms Le Pen has faced accusations from the EU that she embezzled €620,000 while serving as a member of the European Parliament. But responding to the matter she said she is “accustomed to the EU’s tricks of the trade” adding that the “French are not fooled”.

The clash between the two candidates kicks off at 8pm.
