Jake Paul LOWERS offer to Dana White on deadline of deal he proposed to improve fighter pay in exchange for him retiring from boxing as he tells UFC head honcho: ‘I’m in your head’

  • Jake Paul recently outlined his demands of UFC president Dana White
  • He said he would enter the octagon to fight Jorge Masvidal if they are accepted
  • Initially Paul asked for an increase in base UFC fighter pay to £37,000
  • He has now tweeted on the deadline of his offer that he will reduce it to £29,000

Jake Paul has amended his demands of Dana White if he is to step into the UFC’s octagon, face Jorge Masvidal and retire from boxing.

Initially, the YouTuber-turned-boxer wrote a list, effectively calling out White and the UFC for what he deems to be their mistreatment of fighters.

He asked for an increase in the minimum amount fighters get paid from £8,800 to £37,000 per appearance, a guarantee for the athletes of at least half of the annual UFC revenue and long term healthcare for after they retire.

White responded with a video, accusing Paul of using steroids and said anyone who wants to change the way the UFC is run can set up their own fight promotion and do it themselves.

And Paul’s latest tweet, on the day of the deadline he set White to accept his far-fetched demands, offered a reduction to base fighter pay.

The 24-year-old wrote: ‘Dana last day to accept my offer… you are a good negotiator.

‘In an effort to bridge the gap, I’m willing to reduce my ask to $40K min, 40% rev for first 5 years and long term health care.

‘Deal? Or are you making another selfie video showing the world how much I’m in your head?’

The war of words between the pair was first ignited when White said Paul was exaggerating his pay-per-view buys.

He has raised his profile off the back of wins over former UFC fighters, knocking out Ben Askren with ease and then beating Tyron Woodley before spectacularly exacting a KO in the rematch.

Paul then called out current UFC stars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz, but it is extremely unlikely White will allow either of them to chase a lucrative boxing match.

Diaz has distanced himself from the bout, saying he is a ‘real fighter’, while Masvidal demanded £15m for the bout.

It remains to be seen what Paul’s next move is but fight against Tommy Fury could be on the cards after their initial clash was shelved due to the British up-and-comer’s broken rib and chest infection.
