Jake Paul could not resist poking fun at Tommy Fury after his bitter rival confirmed he and Molly-Mae Hague are expecting their first child together.

Boxing star Fury, who has dated Molly-Mae since meeting on Love Island in 2019, announced he is set to become a dad for the first time in a joint Instagram post with his partner on Sunday.

The pair were inundated with messages of congratulations on social media, with a number of fellow reality stars expressing their delight at the news – but Paul had other ideas.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer, who has been scheduled to fight Fury twice in the past only for the latter to withdraw on both occasions, responded to his arch-nemesis’ big news with a brutal jibe which has gone viral online.

Paul wrote on Twitter: ‘Shocking. Tommy usually pulls out.’

Fury was first set to lock horns with Paul in December 2021, before withdrawing less than two weeks out from the grudge match with a broken rib and chest infection.

The Gypsy King’s younger brother then rearranged their bout for August of this year, but when he was denied entry to the United States in June it fell through once again.

Paul agreed to fight Hasim Rahman Jr instead, a contest which also failed to materialise due to a row over weight.

The American will instead take on UFC legend Anderson Silva next month, however he is still hoping to settle his feud with Fury at some point next year.

While on a FaceTime call with Amanda Serrano, the female featherweight world champion he manages, ahead of her fight against Sarah Mahfoud in the UK, Paul was left surprised when Fury interrupted and said: ‘I was expecting you to be here’.

The pair exchanged jokes before Paul said: ‘Tommy, let’s make the fight happen’, and Fury replied: ‘see you soon’.
