Paul stated that if Bisping went ahead with the fight and won then in addition to the $1million, he would also get a share of the pay-per-view money.

Bisping, 43, accepted the fight on Twitter but expressed doubt over whether Paul would actually go through with it.

In his tweet Bisping noted that Paul usually fights opponents who are smaller than him.

Bisping wrote: ”Come on @JakePaul, you do know I’m about your size? Surely that excludes me from your hit list?’

Paul responded by writing: ‘I would knock you out worse than Hendo. You’re an easy fight but show me you can get licensed and I will show you $1M plus PPV…’

In his tweet Paul referenced Bisping’s loss to Dan Henderson at UFC 100 in 2009.

Bisping’s last fight was in November 2017 when he was beaten in the first round by Kelvin Gastelum. Prior to that he lost to Georges St-Pierre.

Paul, meanwhile, has won all five of his professional fights, with his last two successes having come against Tyron Woodley.

If the fight against Bisping doesn’t materialise then alternative options for Paul include Floyd Mayweather, Sonny Bill Williams and Tommy Fury as well as Oscar De La Hoya and ex-UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
