Wolves could have a chance of getting in the top four following their 2-0 victory against Tottenham, who cannot be ruled out despite having lost three league games in succession.
Carragher feels that it will be difficult for West Ham to finish in the top four but suggested that Arsenal have a chance, especially when it is taken into consideration that they have games in hand.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher said: ‘I think it will be tough for West Ham to get in the top four. Arsenal, what a win that was for them away to Wolves. The games in hand, no European football.’
Graeme Souness has expressed concern regarding Manchester United’s capabilities
Souness believes that given their current struggles Tottenham should be ruled out of the race
Carragher also feels that Manchester United’s involvement in the Champions League could affect them domestically.
He said: ‘You think about how long Manchester United will be in the Champions League, that could play a part. It feels like it will go to the wire.’
Graeme Souness, meanwhile, feels that Tottenham won’t be able to get into the top four.
The pundit also expressed concerns about Manchester United’s capabilities.
Souness said: ‘I think it will go all the way to the end. Arsenal do they have enough forwards? Spurs look to be in trouble. Right now I’d think you’d take them out of it. Wolves look a really good team.
‘Man United, scoring goals in the hardest thing. They are really struggling for any sort of continuity. They seem to be lacking confidence, belief and a system that works for them.’
