US Vice President Harris has been slammed over the situation with illegal crossings along the border with Mexico. Critics have blamed the Vice-President for neglecting the issue of uncontrolled migration from Latin American. Fox News presenter Joe Concha argued Ms Harris has “no one but herself to blame” for poor polling among US voters as pressure mounts on the White House to tackle the border crisis.

“It’s a bad look, but she has no one but herself to blame.

“So the fact that this keeps coming up in interviews, where she has to defend herself or her performance, it’s beyond sad to watch quite frankly.”

It comes after Ms Harris addressed the criticism alleging she spent too much time in Washington DC.

“You know, I, we, the president and I came in, you know, COVID had already started, it was, the pandemic had started. And when we came in we really couldn’t travel.”

Ms Harris added: “You know, a large part of the relationship that he and I have built has been being in this, you know, together in the same office for hours on end, doing Zooms or whatever because we couldn’t get out of DC.

“And on issues that are about fighting for anything from voting rights to child care, to one of the issues that I care deeply about, maternal health.

“Being with the people who are directly impacted by this work, listening to them so that they, not some pundit, tells us what their priorities are. I think it’s critically important.”
