Prince Harry and Meghan Markle share first photo of Lilibet
Meghan and Prince Harry travelled to New York for the second time in a few weeks in early November to appear at a few events. Their visit was hugely successful – but a source claimed the Duchess of Sussex was looking forward to returning to California, where their beloved children Archie Harrison and Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana had remained.
A source, described as a friend, told People magazine: “They love it in N.Y.C., but they were ready to go home and get back to the kids.
“Meghan was starting to feel homesick.”
During their November visit to New York, Meghan took part in a panel part of the New York Times’ DealBook summit.
During this event, she spoke openly about being an advocate for paid parental leave in the US, an issue she deems “humanitarian” rather than political.

This weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their first Christmas as a family of four, as their daughter Lili was born earlier this summer.
Speaking about Meghan and Harry’s new life as non-working royals across the pond, the source said: “They are loving life in California.”
In the run-up to the festivities, the couple released their personal Christmas card – which featured the first-ever picture released to the public of Lili.

The snap, taken earlier this summer at the Sussexes’ home in Montecito, Santa Barbara, showed Harry holding his red-head son Archie sitting on his lap.
Father and son looked happily on their left-hand side, as Meghan held above her head little Lili, laughing happily.
The photograph was taken by Alexi Lubomirski who, over the past few years, has immortalised key moments in the couple’s life.
Taking to his Instagram account, the photographer expressed his joy at being chosen for this project.

He said: “This is one of those rare and special projects, that one is fortunate enough to be a part of.
“To be able to continue the story of this family whom I first photographed as an engaged couple, then on the day of their wedding, as a married couple and now seeing their love manifest into two beautiful children, has been a delightful honour.”
The photographer added that the “day with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was one such joyous experience, and one that I feel extremely privileged to have been invited to capture”.
The Sussexes’ picture was included in a card bearing a poignant message, reading: “This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world.

“As we look forward to 2022, we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families – from those being relocated from Afghanistan, to American families in need of paid parental leave.”
They then listed the seven organisations they decided to donate to – Team Rubicon, Welcome.US, Human First Coalition, Humanity Crew, Paid Leave for All, PL+US and Marshall Plan for Moms.
The card also read: “Wishing you a happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year, from our family to yours!”
