As of 10pm, the warnings concern several rivers where levels are expected to remain high overnight.
Properties located near these watering places in Blackburn, Blackpool, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Yorkshire could be in immediate danger from Thursday night until Friday morning.
There is a risk of homes and businesses being submerged in water overnight with low visibility for emergency services should they have to intervene.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Further persistent rain, heavy at times, is likely until the early hours of Friday morning.
“20 to 30 mm rain is likely to accumulate, and with the ground already saturated, some flooding is possible in places. The rain will clear eastwards early on Friday morning.”
More than 59 regular flood alerts had been issued earlier this week but didn’t represent any immediate danger.
