The port has been shut “in the interests of customer and staff safety”. A spokesperson said: “We are monitoring the weather situation closely and liaising with the ferry operators with an aim to reopen the port to shipping once it is safe to do so. The safety of our passengers and staff remains our utmost priority.”
Storm Eunice is battering the UK and Ireland with up to 122mph in some parts.
Tens of thousands of people are without power, while planes have had to abort landings.
