'Responsibility I feel' Prince Harry 'trying to make world better' for Archie and Lilibet

Prince Harry said he adopted a new mantra for how he carries out his daily tasks aimed at improving the world for the sake of his children. The Duke of Sussex was outspoken in the past about his commitment to helping safeguard the planet to leave a lasting legacy to his children, Archie and Lilibet. Speaking to NBC’s Today in an exclusive interview, Harry said: “My sort of mantra now every day…and it’s a dangerous one because I need to make sure I don’t have burnout is ‘try to make the world a better place for my kids.’

“Otherwise, what’s the point of bringing kids into this world? It’s a responsibility as a parent.

“And we can’t fix exiting, we know that, but what we can do is be there for each other.”

Asked about what he liked about fatherhood, the Duke of Sussex said: “All of it. The chaos, the learning, the reminder of just every element of yourself, your soul.

“When you’re not a parent, you can get stuck in all sorts of different stuff and maybe, sometimes, you forget who you are.

“Suddenly, as a parent, especially now Archie is the age is at, asking all the questions. Those questions with the why, he’s into the why stage – why this, why that, why that?

“And instead of just trying to move it, I give him the most honest answer that I can, and then he goes on and on and on until he’s satisfied.

“And then that’s it, it’s done otherwise it ends with ‘because the world is round, and that’s the way it is’.”

He added: “I love it, I love every part of it. I always wanted to be a dad, I always wanted to have my kids and now I have two kids I’m responsible for.”
