Royal household has made 'big changes' since Harry and Meghan's Oprah interview


In the interview, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry claimed that the internal running of the monarchy was not done by the Royal Family. Meghan stated: “There’s the family. And then there’s the people that are running the institution.”

Royal commentators Christina Garibaldi and Christine Ross discussed changes made by the royal household on the Royally US podcast.

Ms Ross said: “They really had to make their own statement to make peace with their experiences in the Royal Family.

“She told her side of the story about her relationship with Kate and obviously that bombshell about a member of the Royal Family making that racist remark about Archie’s skintone. 

“It really opened up a lot of people’s eyes about what is going on behind closed doors within the Royal Family.

“Why weren’t they giving the help that she alleged that she didn’t get.

“Who’s side is the truth? It was alot for people to digest.”

Ms Garibaldi added: “It opened up a can of worms that we still don’t have a lot of answers to.

Ms Ross claimed: “It did create some change within the Royal Family about how the royal household works.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living in California since July 2020 and have sinced welcomed daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor. 

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said in response to allegations made in the interview that “recollections may vary” and that the issues will be addressed privately.
