Members of the Royal Family have stepped out in a dazzling array of tiaras over the years. Creative resource Design Bundles has analysed the average number of Google searches the royal headpieces receive to see which is the most popular.
According to the research, the Spencer Tiara Diana wore on her wedding day is the most popular.
The stunning tiara receives an average of 66,000 searches on Google a year.
The Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara, most recently worn by Kate, is second with 40,320 searches.
The Duchess of Cambridge has donned the glittering headpiece on a number of occasions.
The fifth most popular royal tiara is the Lotus Flower Tiara, which has most recently been worn by Prince William’s wife.
The headpiece receives a yearly average of 12,960 searches on Google.
A spokesperson for Design Bundles said: “The Royal Family has an exquisite collection of jewellery, including many iconic tiaras.
“Each one is unique and has its own rich history and significance, so it is only natural that there is so much interest in them.
“It is very exciting to see these tiaras being worn by multiple generations of Royals, and it will be interesting to see if any more are brought out from the collection to be worn publicly again in the next few years.”
The Strathmore Rose Tiara is in sixth place, while the Cartier Halo Tiara worn by Kate on her wedding day is seventh.
The Greville Tiara, the Burmese Ruby Tiara and the Meander Tiara complete the top 10.
