Crystal Palace are walking away from their interest in Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The former Arsenal star has been heavily linked with a move to Selhurst Park in recent weeks – and it is understood there has been a tentative interest in Ramsey from Palace.

But the Eagles have decided not to press ahead with any formal efforts to sign the 31-year-old.

Ramsey, who earns £400,000-per-week in wages, is set for a return to the Premier League this month after Juventus told him could leave.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri confirmed earlier this month the Wales international is surplus to requirements, having described him as ‘an outgoing player’.

That has reportedly led to several clubs making loan offers to the Serie A giants to take the 31-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season.

Reports claim the claim the former Arsenal star has already turned down approaches to return to the Premier League from Newcastle, Wolves, Burnley, as well as from a couple of Spanish clubs.

Ramsey is said to be convinced that he can earn a move to a more high-profile side in England, despite suffering from injuries yet again this season, which has impacted his minutes in Turin.

The 31-year-old has made just one league start for Max Allegri’s side this season, and picked up two appearances from the bench.

Ramsey – who contracted coronavirus earlier this month – joined the Old Lady on a free transfer in July 2019 after spending 11 years at Arsenal.

He has scored six goals in 69 games at the club, but has just over 100 minutes for Juventus this season.
