The 34-year-old posted a series of messages on his Snapchat account over the weekend where he furiously hit out at the unidentified user who had been watching his story.

Usman, who is also known as the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’, told the troll to ‘choke yourself’ before becoming more incensed on the social media platform.

The messages on Usman’s story read: ‘Whomever you are watching my story please choke yourself. 2022 just started and your life is centred around others.’

The next post then read: ‘Better yet kill yourself. Have fun watching my life and not yours.’

It is unclear what the user said to spark the outburst from Usman.

The MMA fighter then later explained the reason for the posts.

‘Let me clear this up, I know that was tough. It was 4am in the morning, it was a little slizzered and obviously, I typed that the wrong way,’ he said in a video.

‘Let me rephrase this for that hater, you know who you are, that particular hater there’s one of you or maybe two of you that keeps watching my story so you can have something to hate on.

‘Choke yourself, it’s me saying it now, choke yourself.

‘For the rest of my fans, my real fans I love and appreciate you guys, I always have and always will.’

Usman successfully defended his welterweight title against arch-rival Colby Covington at UFC 268 back in November, in which he floored the challenger in the second round but was unable to get the finish.

Usman later revealed that he sustained a broken hand three weeks before the fight at Madison Square Garden.

‘I broke it before the fight,’ Usman told Full Send Podcast. ‘Most people didn’t know that. I broke it three weeks before and I didn’t throw it a day until the fight itself.

‘I didn’t throw it until right backstage. I didn’t throw my hands for three weeks, my right hand.’
